This album is a selection of songs I recorded from 2002 up to 2005 that were never released. Back in the early 2000's I was heavily
influenced by the French band Air and massive attack and that whole early 2000’s downtempo vibe. You can hear their sound on this album.

I was wanting to recreate that sound as it had captured my musical creativity. these songs were a blessing and a joy to record after several years of producing heavy dance floor club music, so it was a real breath of fresh air having spent those years being tied to a major record label that I was with at that time with my other alter ego 'The Boy Wunda' But that is another story.

These songs serve to represent where I was in those days when I was searching for my sound. it is a far cry from where I am now
musically in the Ambient genre and you could say they are very naive and innocent which adds to their charm I guess.

The main songs here were recorded in late 2002 and early 2003 with a wonderfully talented singer songwriter called
Julie Collings who went on to record several solo Acoustic albums but has since disappeared from the local gig circuit and has not released any new material for a long time which is a shame as she is an amazing vocalist. I have not heard from her personally or
online for many years so Julie if you are reading this please do contact me.

These works were recorded at my home studio as pictured in these sleeve notes as by then I had built a good recording set up and was heavily into exploring all of my musical abilities back then as I searched for my soul, you can hear me play guitar on several pieces which is non existent nowadays. i also used things from around the house for percussive elements, which again is not required
anymore due to the amount of samples you can source online but back then you had to create your own.

Although my good friend Ben Constable did record bass guitar on a few tracks, and some weird trippy guitars using a silver spoon across the strings on the track entitled 'Across the Plains'

This album of unreleased material is a reminder of being young and looking forward and trying to create a sound of my own whilst imitating my heroes. it is a document of my musical journey and how my sound has taken many twists and turns over the last two decades. Enjoy.
